Government for the proper drainage of Crown Land adjoining "THE RESERVED AREA" but subject nevertheless to the proviso that when the sun expended by Government upon the construction of such nul- -lahs and channels shall have amounted to $38,000.00 the Government shall not be called upon to expend any further sun on such construction.

(J). All works required in connection with the supply of water to "THE

RESERVED ARKA” @xcept such as come within the category of 'Services shall be constructed and maintained by Government at Government expense. The Government does not however undertake to maintain a constant supply of water within "THE RESERVED AREA”. (K). (Omitted.)

(L). The Lessees shall make such arrangements as the Lessees think fit

for lighting the roads and lanes within "THE RESERVED AREA" subject to the approval of the Director of Public Works.

(M). The Government shall be under no obligation to light the road

referred to in Condition G above.

(N). (Omitted).

(0). The Lessees shall erect and maintain at the Lossess expense a

church and a soho d, which shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by Government.

(P). The Lessees shall lay out and maintain at the Lessees expense a

Recreation Ground in accordance with plans approved by Government. (Q). All arrangements for scavenging and policing "THE RESERVED AREA"

shall be carried out and controlled by the Government at Govern- -ment expense.

(R). No person other than of Portuguese Extraction except a domestic

servant employed by an authorised resident in "THE RESERVED AREA" or priests or school teachers employed in the Church or school situate within "TIE RESERVED AREA" or medical practitioner practis- -ing within the said area shall reside in that area, and no sub- -lease shall be granted by the Lessees to any other person than of Portuguese Extraction without the written permission of the

Governor-in-Council.

The Lessees shall not at any time mortgage or charge any portion
